Nová whisky Talisker Surge je whisky, která zrála výhradně jen v sudech po bourbonu. Mělo by se tak jednat o první takové plnění z produkce palírny Talisker. Nalahvovaná byla s obsahem alkoholu 45,8 % a nabídne vám tóny koření a medu s nádechem kouře.
Palírna Talisker na ostrově Skye byla založena r. 1830 bratry Hughem a Kennethem MacAskillovými. Palírna prošla několika změnami majitelů, až ji v r. 1880 koupil Alexander Grigor Allan a kompletně přebudoval. V r. 1898 došlo k spojení s palírnou Dailuaine za vzniku Dailuaine-Talisker Distilleries Ltd. V r. 1925 se palírna dostala pod správu DCL (Distillers Company Ltd.). V r. 1960 palírnu zničil požár, k obnovení výroby došlo v r. 1962. V současnosti je majitelem palírny společnost United Distillers. Od r. 1997 se whisky neskladuje na ostrově, ale na pevnině.
Whisky Talisker je součástí míchaných Johnnie Walker a White Horse, ale většina produkce se stáčí jako single malt. Má velice výraznou chuť, pro kterou si vysloužila přezdívku 'Láva z Cuillins'
